Drink warm boil water and do not take cold water. Add salt a little few amount in a glass of warm water and gurgle it. It really works.

eat a milkshake with a spoon sucking a straw will aggrivate it worse place an ice pak on ur neck try to limit talking as much as possible take all ur meds take liquid tylenol childrens is propably the only one ull find without cold medicine in it and it really works well use cough drops and throat lozenges give it time and yes u can have them removed but unless uve had tonsillitis more than twice they generally wont remove them hope this helps

if the infection has passed through your system and your tonsils are no longer swollen then fingers crossed he should be fine. there is always a small chance that he could still catch it but i would guess that it is only a very small chance.
if he has no symptoms in a day or so he should be fine and you will be nice and guilt free.
glad to hear you are feeling better, tonsillitis is such a horrible thing to suffer from. how old are you? if you get it regular then i would recommend having them taken out. i had mine removed when i was 13/14 as i use to get tonsillitis every 4-6 weeks. and trust me it is so worth it, you throat will feel a bit raw for the first day (almost similar to actually having tonsillitis) an then it is OK after that.
