I’ve been getting tonsiloliths at an abnormally regular rate.I usually get them every couple weeks, but lately I’m getting them like every 3 days.I brush regularly (2 or 3 times daily) and I can’t understand why I could be getting so many of them and if they are causing my throat to be sore. Can they cause tonsillitis?
I’d apperciate any help:)

now days you do NOT get your tonsils out with tonsilitis…..
your tonsils keep out alot of germs and stop you getting sick easily…they are hardly ever taken out nowdays…..tonsilitis is usually caught through saliva contact to start…then it usually takes between 3 days and a week to show…sometimes lasts around 5 days to 3 weeks….go to your dr and get anti biotics….through tonsilitis can often be mistaken as glandular fever…the symptom arent very different, except that afterwards with glandular you are very tired and it lasts longer, also when you have it usually lasts around a month. Also your glands will be swollen and antibiotics dont help…you just have to wait it out;) Continued…

I have excrutiating tonsillitis. I’m not one to take painkillers when I’m ill but I’m practically living on ibuprofen these past few days. The back of my throat looks like it’s about to errupt with white pus. It’s now on it’s 6th day & is showing no signs of improvement. How long should I expect it to last? I have an appointment with the doctor later today, but is there really anything he can do for me? Continued…
